Trump on debates: BORING! Mocks with doctored video

after the first Democratic primary debate, President Trump tweeted a single word: BORING! Trump later mocked NBC for its technical glitches that occurred throughout the debate saying the network “should be ashamed of themselves” and called them “truly unprofessional.”

He also shamed them with a hilariously doctored video of him appearing at the debate, using “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne as a soundtrack.

Gabbard most searched Democratic candidate, despite low speaking time

According to Google trends, previously relatively unknown Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) was the most searched candidate in the US following the first Democratic primary debate. Senator Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) took a distant second.

Prior to the debate, Gabbard was the most searched only in her home state, with Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) the most searched Democratic candidate in the nation. During the debates, Gabbard had the third-lowest speaking time of the ten candidates involved.

Castro says transgender women should have a right to abortion

Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro wanted to make sure everyone was included in his healthcare plan – and that included transgender women, who aren’t able to get pregnant.

During the first Democratic primary debate, when asked if his government healthcare plan would cover abortions, Castro said: “I don’t believe only in reproductive freedom. I believe in reproductive justice.”

The statement drew loud applause from the Miami audience. “What that means is that just because a woman—or let’s also not forget someone in the trans community,” Castro continued, “a trans female—is poor, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t exercise that right to choose. So I would absolutely cover the right to have an abortion.”

Whether intentional or not, he seemed to imply that a trans female could have an abortion – even though they were born male and don’t have reproductive organs.

However, Castro probably meant trans males, who are born female and have the necessary equipment.

Dalai Lama warns whole of Europe could become “Muslim or African” if migrants not returned to home countries

the Dalai Lama spoke out against the wave of immigration occurring in Europe, saying that “Europe is for Europeans.” The Buddhist spiritual leader warned that the whole of Europe may become “Muslim or African” if the migrants are not sent back to their countries of origin.

He added that only a “limited number” of migrants should be allowed to remain. The Dalai Lama clarified that, while Europe was under obligation to take in those migrants needing help – ultimately – they should be returned to their homelands.

“European countries should take these refugees and give them education and training, and the aim is to return to their own land with certain skills.”

Supreme Court rules gerrymandering beyond reach of federal courts

In a tight 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court restored congressional districts altered by federal court rulings in North Carolina and Maryland, saying that federal courts must stay out of getting involved in drawing district lines.
