DOJ releases redacted Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit: Here’s what it says

US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the Department of Justice to release a redacted version of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit by noon on Friday, CNN reported.

The DOJ released the heavily redacted 38-page affidavit as ordered, the New York Post reported. The NY Post published some of the pertinent readable sections.

“The government is conducting a criminal investigation concerning the improper removal and storage of classified information in unauthorized spaces, as well as the unlawful concealment or removal of government records,” the affidavit states. “There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found.”

However, the blacked-out sections still hide many key unanswered questions about the August date raid, as well as hiding the identity of witnesses and key details such as “strategy, direction, scope, sources and methods” of the investigation.

Zuckerberg admitted Facebook suppressed Hunter Biden laptop story

During an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Thursday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story for ten days in the run-up to the election. The company did so after an FBI warning.

Weeks before the election, the FBI contacted top Facebook officials to warn them that a major dump of Russian disinformation was coming, Zuckerberg revealed, per the Daily Wire.

When the New York Post broke the Hunter laptop story, Twitter kicked the media company off its platform, while Facebook downranked the story for over a week to dampen its impact, Zuckerberg said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) took to Twitter, via the New York Post, writing, “the FBI colluded with big tech to silence new stories weeks before the 2020 election.” McCarthy vowed that “when Republicans are back in charge, we will hold them all accountable.”

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), who sits on the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, as well as the Committee on Foreign Relations, said: “We need whistleblowers to come forward to expose the truth, hold people accountable and restore integrity and credibility to the FBI and federal agencies. We need to get to the bottom of this corruption,” the Daily Mail reported.

Biden calls MAGA philosophy “semi-fascism”

President Joe Biden lashed out against conservatives who have embraced the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) philosophy central to Donald Trump’s presidency, calling it “like semi-fascism.”

Biden made the comparison in a speech on Thursday night at a fundraiser for Democrats at home in Bethesda, Maryland, NBC reported

“What we’re seeing now is the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy,” Biden said. “It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.”
