IG Finds Whistleblower had ‘Political Bias’ in Favor of Trump ‘Rival’ and More

Here are the top stories making headlines in conservative politics for today: IG finds Trump whistleblower had political bias; McConnell slams Democrats for rush to judgment; Graham says Biden and son’s Ukraine connection needs to be investigated.

IG finds whistleblower had a political bias in favor of Trump 2020 rival

In an exclusive report, Fox spoke to a senior Trump administration official who said the White House is planning to release a document revealing that the intelligence community Inspector General found that the whistleblower who leveled an accusation against Trump over his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had “political bias” in favor of “a rival candidate” against the president. The name of the rival candidate was not identified by the official.

According to another source familiar with the matter, the unidentified whistleblower had no first-hand knowledge of President Trump’s call with the Ukrainian President.

Reportedly, another senior Trump administration official told Fox that the White House has been working as quickly as it can to release the whistleblower complaint to Congress, but is still reviewing the legalities.

This exclusive revelation was reported just hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the initiation of a formal impeachment inquiry, in which she alleged that the Trump administration was hiding the complaint.

McConnell slams Democrats and Pelosi for “rush to judgment”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell posted his full statement on the announcement of impeachment by speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“Washington Democrats have been searching for ways to reverse their 2016 election defeat since before President Trump was even inaugurated,” McConnell wrote. “The result has been a two-and-a-half-year impeachment parade in search of a rationale.”

In his lengthy statement, McConnell added, “this rush to judgment comes just a few hours after President Trump offered to release the details of his phone conversation with President Zelensky.

It comes despite the fact that committee-level proceedings are already underway to address the whistleblower allegation through a fair, bipartisan, and regular process.”

“It simply confirms that House Democrats’ priority is not making life better for the American people but their nearly three-year-old fixation on impeachment.”

Graham says Biden connection with Ukraine needs to be examined

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that the Democratic 2020 presidential candidate, former vice president, Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s connection to Ukraine needs to be investigated.

“We’ve looked at the Trump family and the Trump connections to Russia every way you can,” Graham said. “It’s about time somebody looked into the connections of Ukraine.”
