Donald Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian Official

US President Donald Trump has been nominated by a Norwegian lawmaker for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize, saying he deserves it more than Obama, for brokering diplomatic ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

President Trump nominated for 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

United States President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in brokering a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Israel and the UAE agreed to establish diplomatic ties and trade links, as well as allowing free travel between their countries for the first time ever, the Daily Mail reported.

Norwegian lawmaker, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a four-term member of Parliament, who also serves as chairman of the Norwegian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly nominated Mr. Trump for the award.

“As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game-changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity,” Tybring-Gjedde wrote in a letter to the Nobel Committee, in which she said the Trump administration has played a key role in the establishment of relations between the two nations, the NY Post reported.

Tybring-Gjedde also nominated Trump in 2018 for his meeting with Kim Jong-Un in Singapore. Despite twice nominating Trump, Tybring-Gjedde insisted he is not a supporter of the US president.

Has done more [than] Barack Obama [who] did nothing, lawmaker says

“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde told Fox in an interview.

“The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump,” Tybring-Gjedde pointed out. “For example, Barack Obama did nothing.”

Liberal mainstream media avoids promoting the story

Something positive about President Trump is, apparently, something that mainstream liberal media doesn’t want to promote. As of this writing, early Wednesday, this report wasn’t trending on any of the big liberal-leaning networks that continually bash Trump (CNN, NBC, ABC, NPR, CBS, as they all were promoting other negative Trump-related stories) while the Nobel Peace Prize nomination of Trump was the top story trending in ALL overall reports on the Internet and social media networks as reported by Fox, Daily Mail, NY Post, and others, according to trend-tracking site BuzzSumo.

Given the reach and audience size of these liberal networks, it’s inconceivable their versions of the report wouldn’t be trending somewhere in the top twenty, if not number one –  if they were promoting it – but none of these networks were found to reporting the story in the top twenty of today’s Internet content.

This evidence seems to show avoidance. Maybe this will change as the day progresses, but right now it appears to indicate a purposeful effort to avoid reporting a positive story that would help Trump’s image.
