The president of CNN worldwide, Jeffrey Zucker, has been waging a personal vendetta against President Trump and fake news, newly released undercover footage by Project Veritas reveals.
Undercover employee captures anti-Trump agenda on video
Project Veritas captured undercover video via a contractor and satellite uplink technician named Cary Poarch, who was working for CNN in Washington, DC. She agreed to wear a hidden camera and captured comments made by the CNN president in a “9 AM run down call” led by Mr. Zucker.
In the audio of the call, Zucker tells employees to “stay very focused on impeachment.”
“We’re moving towards impeachment,” Zucker says in the audio recording. “I mean, don’t like, you know – we should pretend, oh, this is going one way. And so all these moves are moves toward impeachment. So don’t lose sight of what the biggest story is.”
Zucker directs employees to treat Fox like a conspiracy outlet
“I think what’s going on in America now is really fundamentally the result of years of fake news, conspiracy nonsense from Fox,” Zucker said.
“The fake conspiracy nonsense that Fox has spread for years is now deeply embedded in American society, and frankly that is beyond destructive for America. And I do not think we should be scared to say so.”
Zucker directs employees to go after Graham
In a separate clip, Zucker instructs employees to go after one of Trump’s biggest supporters in the Republican Party, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
“I know that there’s a lot of people at CNN that are friendly with Lindsey Graham,” Mr. Zucker said in the audio recording. “Time to knock that off. And it’s time to call him out.”
CNN staff echoes the anti-Trump bias
“Jeff Zucker, basically the president of CNN, has a personal vendetta against Trump,” said Nick Neville, who is a media coordinator at CNN. “It’s not gonna be positive for Trump. He hates him. He’s going to be negative.”
“What’s difficult is like, we have some conflicting things at play here,” Neville added. “There’s a lot of people out here just trying to do what they think is the best of journalistic integrity. Then you get on the 9 a.m. call and big boss Jeff Zucker f–ing tells you what to do.”
In one audio clip, a man who has been identified as CNN floor coordinator Hiram Gonzalez speaks up. “Between you and I,” Gonzalez says on the audio recording, “we created this monster and now we’re eating him full plate every single day. Media created the Trump monster.”
