Celebrity Deaths We Can’t Get Over

When our favorite celebrities pass away suddenly, it can feel like we’ve lost a friend. Even though we (probably) never met them, many of these talented entertainers and athletes were a big part of our lives. Which sudden celebrity deaths left you shook?

Kobe Bryant

It seems almost impossible that 18-time NBA All-Star Kobe Bryant (41) is gone–and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, too. Bryant was, of course, killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, last month just before the Grammy Awards held at his former home stadium.

Anthony Bourdain

When a celebrity dies by suicide, it brings up complicated emotions in their fans. Sadness and anger can go hand in hand, and that was the case when Anthony Bourdain passed away at the age of 61. The “Parts Unknown” star died in June 2018.

Paul Walker

“Fast and Furious” fans were devastated when founding franchise star Paul Walker was killed in a car crash. He was just 40 years old in November 2013 when he and a friend were involved in a single-vehicle crash that claimed both their lives.

Robin Williams

We were all devastated in August 2014 when the news broke that Robin Williams had passed away. The 63-year-old comedian died by suicide; however, it was also later revealed that he was battling a brain disease at the time.

Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger was so talented–and so young–when he passed away at the age of 28 from an accidental drug overdose. He was awarded a posthumous Oscar for his work as The Joker shortly after his death in 2008.
