California, New York, and Illinois used relief funds to push CRT in schools. Elon Musk says Democratic Party “hijacked by extremists,” New book alleges Trump wanted to shoot BLM protesters, and more in conservative politics.
The $1.9 trillion pandemic relief fund known as The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, which the Democrats passed in March 2021 without any Republican support, provided $122 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). Many Democrats called the funding a matter of life and death to reopen schools.
However, multiple states use the funds to implement “implicit bias” and “anti-racism” training, among other programs, according to research from One Nation shared with and verified by Fox.
California awarded $15.1 billion for schools’ reopening plans and used part of the funds to include “implicit bias training.” The New York State Education Department (NYSED) was awarded $9 billion, and its reopening plan supported “putting DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) at the heart of NYSED’s work” which also focused on “privilege, implicit bias,” and to “support the work of anti-racism in anti-bias.” Illinois received $5.1 billion, and its reopening plan also had “an emphasis on equity and diversity” that included topics such as “anti-racism” and equity.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, accused the Democratic Party of moving too far to the left and being “hijacked by extremists.”
“I strongly supported Obama for President, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists,” Musk tweeted on April 28, 2022.
In one post, Musk included a graphic using stick figures showing the years 2008, 2012, and 2021, featuring his political stance and how liberals have moved to the left. In 2008, he positioned himself somewhat to the left of the center. In 2012, he had himself just right of center, with the line showing “my fellow liberal” extending farther left. In 2021, he showed himself moving farther to the right of the center, with his “woke progressive” liberal much farther left and with a comic cartoon balloon with the liberal calling him a “bigot!”
Liberals immediately began attacking Musk on Twitter.
“It’s now 100% clear that Musk is part of the GOP propaganda apparatus,” tweeted liberal radio host and MSNBC contributor Dean Obeidallah. “I know you were hoping to be wrong–but it’s clear that Elon Musk is exactly as vile as you thought he was.”
“With this kind of take, I’m not so sure your ‘public square’ will be such a nice place,” MSNBC anchor Katie Phang tweeted.
“Sorry you reversed this, Muskrat,” wrote Keith Olbermann.
Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper is making a startling claim in his new book, “a sacred oath,” due out May 10, promising a number of revelations about the Trump White House, reports Rolling Stone. One of the most startling claims Esper makes is that former President Donald Trump suggested shooting black lives matter (BLM) protesters who were outside the White House following the May 2020 death of George Floyd Axios reported.
“Can’t you just shoot them?” Trump asked, according to Esper. “Just shoot them in the legs or something?”
Last year, Michael Bender of The New York Times reported that Trump wanted the military to go in and “beat the [expletive]” out of the BLM protesters. Trump also allegedly said, “Just shoot them,” on multiple occasions, according to Bender.
